These lovely earrings have been on Neil's bench for some time, un-assembled. He's had the parts - and the idea for a while. He will often sit and play with silver and gold pieces, just for fun - to see what looks good together. This is part of the creative process.

The domed circle is solid sterling silver, and the pheasants, also used on the Renaissance "Pheasant - Wings Out & Wings Up" Channel Buckles, are reproduced in sterling silver or 14K gold by lost-wax-casting. The originals were meticulously hand engraved and then molded and cast by our highly skilled caster. The earrings will vary a bit, as Neil solders the pheasants on individually, and the angle of the birds changes slightly. All earrings are hand-finished, and have the master's touch. The ear-wire is solid sterling silver.
