Engraved silver buckle, 'Heron' '1.aug01'

This engraving was done on a channel buckle style we purchase from an East Coast supplier. We live in the lakes (- and woods) area of Northern Minnesota, and water-fowl and marsh-birds are plentiful. If you ever have a chance, try to get a close look at a Blue Heron through your binoculars. They are truly magnificent creatures. Neil had some fun with this one - look closely at bottom, center - there's a frog... The engraving itself is very detailed, and the scrollwork is particularly elaborate.
