This Cape Buffalo for Kelly is on a 1½" Trophy style buckle. He wanted the buffalo to look old and mean, and I think Neil succeeded.

The buffalo is sculpted in bas relief in 18K Gold rather than engraved. It is framed by 24K Gold Line-Inlay and classic scrollwork with checkered borders. The design of the scrollwork works with the lines of the horns on the buffalo, and flows with the shape of the animal, almost making it part of the scrolls.
