Mesabi Belt Buckle Set with Gold Lines

This is a variation on the theme of engraved Mesabi buckle set, # "sengr.mesgldlns1.may03". Marv really liked that particular buckle, but wanted the keepers to be like engraved Sonora # "sengr.son2.apr03", which is several items farther down on the 'Sold - 03' page. This turned out to be a beautiful combination, as well.
Neil always has this dicussion with himself; -Whether to simplify the design of the keepers as much as possible, in order to complement and balance, but not compete with the buckle and tip. - Or to use stronger design elements in the keepers, that, while still not competing with the rest of the set, will draw the eye more. These two sets are examples of just that. I'm sure his discussion isn't over yet..
All four pieces of this buckle set have 24K Gold line-inlay.
