Mojave Belt Buckle Set w/Gold lines

As predicted in the January -03 issue of the Newsletter, Neil has started doing gold line-inlay. There have been a number of practice-pieces already in the past few weeks. This Mojave buckle set, however, is anything but that. Neil uses 24K gold wire, only, for inlay in silver. In order to do wire inlay, the wire must be softer than the base it goes into. An added bonus is the very yellow color of 24K gold. It shows up beautifully against the silver background, as can be seen here. All four pieces of this buckle set have inlaid gold lines. The scroll-work in this engraving is also another step up from previous pieces. It is tighter, and even more precise.
