Hand Engraved Solid Sterling Silver
Pin w/Gold, Handcrafted, "Wolf"

Neil finally got around to finishing this sweet pin that he started some time ago. It is a rare piece, as Neil doesn't often venture into making anything other than buckles anymore. The silver "framing" the gold wolf, and the gold wolf itself are actually the cut-out "negatives" from a previous wolf buckle set. The base of the pin is sterling silver with 18K gold inlaid flush with the silver on the top layer. This engraving was inspired by an experience Neil had following a blizzard in Northern Wisconsin. He was sketching under a canopy of snow-covered branches in a cedar swamp, when a wolf appeared out of no-where. As they stared silently at each other for what seemed like an eternity, Neil was struck by the gentleness in her eyes.
