Trophy Style Belt Buckle "TX Star"

This engraved belt buckle for Jorge is a solid, heavy piece of sterling silver, as can be seen in the angled view. The star is cut out, and the belt strap is visible through the holes.
The buckle has a variety of engraving styles. The large acanthus, almost cabbage-like base helps ground it, and both that and the pine-cone patterns on the ends, as well as the border on the perimeter are inspired by Ragnvald Frøysadal's style. (See the Artisan | Newsletter Issue 3, June -03 | Newsletter Issue 8, October -04) The rest of the scroll-work is tight rose and scroll which is done without the rose, in this case.
