If you call or e-mail NR hunt Studio, chances are you will be talking to me first. I am the storekeeper and webmaster for our web-store, and I aim to provide exceptional customer service. Each customer is treated as an individual, and each order is a special order.

I have many years of experience managing successful retail-stores in Sedona and Jerome, Arizona, and one of my strengths has always been that I am very meticulous. Neil, who does unbeleivable detail work in his engraving, still thinks that I am "nitpicky" in my approach to my work. You can be confident that your order will be treated professionally.

I was born in the town of Bodø in Northern Norway, but I spent several of my childhood years in different parts of the world. Among other places, I spent time in England, the US, and East Africa. A life-lesson I learned from this experience, was "Home is where you are." It is a good rule to live by, both in the geographical sense, as well as in the overall context of life.

After college, I started out as an elementary-school teacher in Norway. A couple of years later I wanted to move on. In 1983 I came to visit some friends in the US. After a while I met Neil, and ended up staying here.

Over the years I have done many different types of work. I have been a school-teacher; I have painted houses and harvested roses in a greenhouse; and I have been a book-keeper and store-manager. Obviously, I have not walked a straight career-path. Yet somehow, they are all connected. In all these endeavors, my work has always been about doing my very best, and taking pride in what I do. And it's been a lot of fun!

A few years ago, I would never have imagined that I would be the webmaster for our webstore, but it's not that different from running a brick-and-mortar store. My 21st century high-tech work is what allows Neil to do his traditional 19th century crafts of hand-engraved silver buckles, and benchmade custom belts. - And his artwork allows me to do this!
We are a good team.
